Our Leadership

Grady Holloman - ElderGrady Holloman

I thank God for allowing the church at Moreland Avenue to reach 100 years of service to the Lord in this community I know the road over the years was not as smooth as it could have been.ln 1979 I began to travel on this road at Moreland. I hope as I have traveled on this road others have seen my light shine for Christ, and that it may be said as Paul wrote in 1st Corinthian 11: 1, Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. For one day when the torch is passed I can say as Paul said I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. I thank God for my wife and companion of 42 years. I can do all things through Christ who strengthen me (us).May these word dwell in your hearts from Colossians 3:17, that says, That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love. May God continue to bless this church to be all it can be for the cause of Christ.

Larry Jackson, Sr. - ElderLarry Jackson, Sr.

I am responsible for setting the example for those that shepherd. Also being available for guidance, encouragement, direction and counseling. Moreland has been an encouragement in my life. I have always looked for the opportunity since we merged with this congregation to be a leader like those that have served us in our past. Although many of my mentors have passed on or moved away, I am grateful that I have the opportunity to worship and serve at a congregation as great as this. I am elated to see us reach this milestone. It is my prayer the congregation will continue to press forward and fulfill our mission to bring others to Christ.
